Russell, Davis lead Lakers past West-Leading Thunder

D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis propelled the Los Angeles Lakers (34-29) to a resounding 116-104 triumph over the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder (42-19) on Monday night.

Russell scored game-high 26 points, while Davis dominated the paint with 24 points and 12 rebounds. LeBron James contributed a near-triple-double performance with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

Austin Reaves provided valuable support, tallying 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Taurean Prince contributed 14 points off the bench.

Despite the Thunder’s efforts, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 20 points and contributions from Lu Dort (15 points) and Chet Holmgren (15 points, 7 rebounds), Oklahoma City struggled to contain the Lakers’ offensive onslaught. Josh Giddey added 13 points.
