Brooklyn Nets interim head coach Kevin Ollie discussed the group’s second half defensive energy after yesterday’s 114-102 home win vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

(via YES Network):

Reporter: “Six of the team’s eight blocks came in the third quarter. What do you see as the biggest factor behind that?”

Ollie: “Stopped letting them catch catch-and-shoot threes. I think we really made a big point of that, being at their doorstop. When they catch the ball, make them drive, and then understanding that we gotta pursue the drive, but we’ve got Nic [Claxton] back there. Nic was a monster, blocked shots, getting the rebound while he was on the ground. He was doing everything back there. But then just seeing the energy of guys, Mikal [Bridges] and Doe (Dorian Finney-Smith) when we get a stop, they’re bringing the energy, and that’s what we want. We want to fall in love on the defensive side, and then the offensive stuff will take care of itself.”
