Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads Thunder to win against Rockets

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder (40-17) to a 123-110 victory over the Houston Rockets (25-32) on Sunday night.

With 36 points, Gilgeous-Alexander showcased his scoring prowess, while Chet Holmgren contributed 29 points, fueling the Thunder’s fifth consecutive win and elevating them to a tie for first place in the Western Conference with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jalen Williams contributed 22 points, while Lu Dort added 16.

Fred VanVleet and Jabari Smith Jr. led the Rockets’ offensive effort with 20 points each, but it wasn’t enough to halt the Thunder’s momentum.

Despite a brief resurgence by the Rockets, the Thunder maintained their composure and executed efficiently down the stretch, closing out the game with a well-deserved victory.
