Dejounte Murray leads Hawks past Magic

Dejounte Murray orchestrated the Atlanta Hawks’ (25-32) 109-92 victory over the Orlando Magic (32-26) on Sunday night.

Murray nearly secured a triple-double with 25 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds, stepping up in the absence of Trae Young, who is sidelined due to left hand surgery.

Jalen Johnson contributed 21 points and nine rebounds, while De’Andre Hunter added 18 points off the bench to bolster the Hawks’ offense. Bogdan Bogdanovic score 17 points.

Despite Franz Wagner’s 19-point effort for the Magic, Orlando struggled on the road, particularly in the second game of a back-to-back, falling to 1-7 in such matchups.

Wendell Carter Jr. contributed 18 points and ten rebounds, while Cole Anthony added 15 points off the bench.

Orlando missed the presence of leading scorer Paulo Banchero, who sat out due to illness, disrupting their offensive rhythm.
