CSKA Moscow parts ways with Will Barton

In late January, CSKA Moscow initially announced the signing of former NBA player Will Barton.

However, Barton will not be joining the Russian side, as the contract between him and CSKA Moscow has been terminated, and he has returned to the United States.

The club is actively seeking a newcomer for the shooting guard-small forward position to fill the void left by Barton.

The official statement from CSKA Moscow didn’t specify the reason for terminating the contract, but reports suggest it may be due to Barton not passing the required medical tests.

Barton has had a notable NBA career, with 679 regular-season appearances, averaging 11.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
