Williams and Gilgeous-Alexander combine for 65 points as Thunder beat Magic

Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander combined for a whopping 65 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder (37-17) to a commanding 127-113 victory over the Orlando Magic (29-25).

Williams erupted for 33 points, while Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 32 points along with five assists. Gilgeous-Alexander’s dominance was particularly evident during a crucial five-minute stretch in the third quarter, where he poured in 13 points to help the Thunder seize control of the game.

Chet Holmgren provided valuable support for the Thunder with 13 points, nine rebounds, and five blocks, further solidifying Oklahoma City’s presence on both ends of the floor.

Despite the Magic’s early surge led by Paolo Banchero’s 23 points and Wendell Carter Jr.’s 22 points, Oklahoma City’s resilience and offensive firepower proved too much for Orlando to handle.

Jalen Suggs’ early 3-point barrage gave Orlando a fleeting 11-point lead, but the Thunder quickly erased the deficit by the end of the first quarter, setting the stage for their dominant performance.
