Amidst their rebuilding phase and a shift towards a younger roster, the Toronto Raptors are on the verge of trading veteran player Chris Boucher, following the earlier trade of star Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers.

According to a report by Blake Murphy on The Raptors Show with Will Lou (h/t Evan Sidery), the Raptors, are very likely to complete the trade before the February 8 deadline.

This season, the 31-year-old Boucher has contributed an average of 6.2 points and 4 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per game coming off the bench.

The move aligns with the Raptors’ strategy to infuse youth into their lineup and reshape the team for the future.

Boucher is not the sole player on the trading block, as Bruce Brown, acquired in the Siakam trade, is also expected to be moved. Multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, have shown interest in Brown.

As the Raptors undergo significant roster changes, the trade deadline will likely bring further shifts in their lineup, creating a new direction for the team in the ongoing NBA season.
