Nikola Jokic drops 42 points as Nuggets take down Wizards

Nikola Jokic led the Denver Nuggets (30-14) to a 113-104 victory over the Washington Wizards (7-35) with an outstanding performance of 42 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. The Serbian superstar’s efficiency shone as he shot 15 of 20 from the field and made 12 of 14 free throws.

Denver, carried by its starting lineup, had Jamal Murray contribute 19 points, seven assists, and five rebounds, Michael Porter Jr. add 19 points and six rebounds, Aaron Gordon had 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 10 points. The Nuggets’ bench combined just for 12 points.

Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards in scoring with 17 points. He also grabbed six rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Daniel Gafford and Tyus Jones each added 16 points. Marvin Bagley III and Landry Shamet both contributed 14 points and seven rebounds for the Wizards.

It was another tough night for Jordan Poole who managed to score just four points on one for seven shooting.
