The Milwaukee Bucks’ newcomer Andre Jackson Jr., a key contributor to UConn’s national championship victory, achieved his inaugural double-double by scoring 10 points and securing 10 rebounds against Golden State last Saturday.

Selected as the 36th overall pick in the draft and subsequently traded to Milwaukee, Jackson’s performance drew praise from coach Adrian Griffin. Griffin commended Jackson’s impactful plays, highlighting his status as a proven winner from his college days.

The coach emphasized Jackson’s exceptional work ethic, describing it as a rare and powerful driving force on the court. Jackson’s noteworthy performance included crucial rebounds, particularly six offensive ones, and his ability to effectively defend against formidable opponents.

Griffin expressed optimism about Jackson’s promising trajectory, foreseeing him evolving into an exceptional player in the NBA.

“He’s a big-time player. He was a winner in college. Has a motor like I haven’t seen in a long time. Imposes his will on the game. He just made big-time plays, he made winning plays. That’s who ‘Dre is.

“That was his first double-double. We needed every rebound. He had six offensive rebounds, he’s guarding the best layer on the other side. He’s shaping into being a really, really special player in this league.”
