Brooklyn Nets’ standout point guard, Ben Simmons, is on the verge of a comeback after battling back issues that sidelined him since early November.

Simmons, who faced similar challenges last season, is diligently working towards his return to the court.

“Feel good. Working every day. Be back soon,” Simmons expressed, per Billy Reinhardt, emphasizing his determination to overcome the setback.

Reflecting on his injury, Simmons shared, “There was a point when I got hurt this season, I was like ‘holy sh*t, I don’t know if I could do this again’… it’s just something in you.”

Acknowledging the mental aspect of his recovery, Simmons emphasized, “It’s hard to explain to somebody when they’ve never dealt with an injury like this. It’s not a physical thing, you’re not spraining your ankle, you’re not twisting your knee.”

Expressing his eagerness to contribute to the team, Simmons stated, “I want to be back and help this team win and get to the playoffs and see where we can go.”

Simmons also hinted at sharing more about his journey, recognizing the interest and fascination surrounding his recovery.

With an impressive earlier season performance, averaging 6.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists, Simmons’ return could significantly enhance the Nets’ depth and playmaking capabilities.
