Jazz surge past Nuggets with Clarkson, Markkanen, and Sexton leading charge

The Utah Jazz (19-20) secured their ninth win in 11 games by defeating the Denver Nuggets (26-13) with a final score of 124-111 on Wednesday night.

Led by Jordan Clarkson’s 27 points and nine assists, the Jazz showcased their strength against the defending NBA champions, adding another victory to their recent successes against elite teams.

Clarkson’s performance was complemented by Lauri Markkanen’s contributions, as he recorded 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Collin Sexton added 22 points and John Collins contributed 15.

Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets displayed individual brilliance with 27 points, shooting 8 for 9 from the floor and 10 of 12 at the foul line. However, the lack of support from his teammates hindered Denver’s efforts against a resolute Jazz squad.

Despite Denver attempting a comeback by reducing a 23-point deficit to 13 in the third quarter, the Jazz responded decisively with a 9-2 run, reestablishing their control over the game.
