Windhorst explained, “There’s a lot of teams interested in calling the [Toronto Raptors] for Pascal Siakam. There’s no teams interested in calling the Lakers for the players that they want to trade,” as reported by Doric Sam of Bleacher Report. This puts the Lakers in a challenging position as they navigate the trade landscape leading up to the deadline.
As the Lakers embark on a crucial homestand, they face the dilemma of whether to make significant moves. However, Windhorst suggests that even if the Lakers are inclined to make trades, the current value of their players doesn’t match the high-value assets that teams like the Raptors have possessed in recent months.
