Chance Comanche, accused of conspiring a murder with his ex-girlfriend, is set to appear before a judge in Las Vegas on Tuesday after being transferred from a jail in Sacramento, California.
The 27-year-old, previously associated with the Stockton Kings, was arrested on December 15 in Sacramento. As indicated by jail and court records, he arrived at the Clark County Detention Center on Sunday and is scheduled for an initial court appearance at 7:30 am local time.
Gary Guymon, Comanche’s defense attorney, did not comment on Monday before the upcoming court session. Comanche’s ex-girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, 19, is also in custody in Las Vegas and is awaiting a separate preliminary hearing on Wednesday. The charges against her are related to the disappearance and death of Marayna Rodgers, 23, from Lynnwood, Washington.
Las Vegas police reported that Rodgers, a medical assistant, was fatally choked on December 6. Subsequently, her remains were discovered in a roadside ditch in suburban Henderson.
