Wizards secure rare win against Nets behind Kyle Kuzma’s heroics

The Washington Wizards (6-25) clinched a rare victory against the Brooklyn Nets (15-17) with a 110-104 triumph, led by Kyle Kuzma’s standout performance of 26 points.

Deni Avdija also played a crucial role with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. Tyus Jones contributed 12 points for Washington.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Wizards, who have struggled this season, while the Nets suffered their seventh consecutive loss outside of recent victories over the struggling Detroit Pistons.

Despite the Nets’ efforts, with Spencer Dinwiddie notching 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, and Mikal Bridges adding 19 points, the Wizards held on for a rare home victory.

Cam Thomas provided a spark off the bench for Brooklyn with 15 points, and Day’Ron Sharpe added 10 points and nine rebounds.
