Lauri Markkanen’s dominant performance propels Jazz past Spurs

Lauri Markkanen led the Utah Jazz (13-18) to a convincing 130-118 victory over the San Antonio Spurs (14-25), scoring 31 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Jordan Clarkson contributed significantly with 24 points and eight assists, showcasing the Jazz’s offensive firepower.

Collin Sexton added 20 points to the scoreboard, and Walker Kessler chipped in with 11, highlighting the balanced scoring effort from the Jazz.

Despite a slow start, the Jazz have now secured three consecutive victories and six wins in their last eight games, displaying a significant turnaround from their early-season struggles.

San Antonio, on the other hand, faced their fifth consecutive loss, extending their challenging season with a 4-25 record, the second-worst in the NBA.

Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 26 points, supported by Devin Vassell’s 22, Jeremy Sochan’s 19, and Victor Wembanyama’s 15.

Wembanyama returned after missing two of the past three games due to a right ankle injury, making a solid impact with seven rebounds, five blocks, and four assists.
