Mike Brown advocates for Malik Monk in Dunk Contest

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk showcased his aerial prowess with a jaw-dropping dunk during Friday night’s victory over the Phoenix Suns, earning high praise from his head coach, Mike Brown.

Brown, impressed by Monk’s athleticism, declared, “He’s a freak of an athlete… he can fly. He should be in the dunk contest,” according to Brenden Nunes.

Monk’s gravity-defying dunk added an exclamation point to the Kings’ win, leaving fans and teammates in awe of his leaping ability.

Brown’s endorsement for Monk’s inclusion in the Dunk Contest adds weight to the argument that Monk’s aerial artistry deserves a spotlight on the grand stage.

While the official lineup for the Dunk Contest is yet to be revealed, reports suggest that Mac McClung, last year’s winner currently playing in the G League, has secured an invitation.
