Jayson Tatum, known for rarely missing games, sat out Wednesday’s match against the Sacramento Kings due to a sprained left ankle from the previous game against the Golden State Warriors.
The Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla considers Tatum day-to-day, with swelling and stiffness in his ankle.
With two days off, the Celtics hope to have him back for the upcoming games against the LA Clippers on Saturday and the Christmas Day matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, but availability remains uncertain.
