Zach LaVine wants out of the Chicago Bulls, eyeing the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are interested but face a challenge matching LaVine’s $40.1 million salary.

They may trade D’Angelo Russell ($17.3 million) and potentially Rui Hachimura or Austin Reaves to match salaries.

If involving Hachimura or Reaves, the trade can only happen after January 15 due to NBA rules. Russell, who waived his no-trade clause, will likely be part of any significant Lakers trade.
