Ime Udoka expresses frustration over inconsistent officiating in loss against Bucks

In a thrilling high-scoring encounter, Damian Lillard’s stellar 39-point performance propelled the Milwaukee Bucks (19-7) to a 128-119 victory over the Houston Rockets (13-10) on Sunday night.

Despite the Rockets’ commendable efforts, featuring standout performances from Fred VanVleet with 22 points and Alperen Sengun contributing 20, the Bucks’ resilience and scoring prowess ultimately secured the win.

However, the game’s closing moments were not without drama, as Dillon Brooks’ ejection and two technical fouls assessed to Rockets coach Ime Udoka added intensity. Lillard capitalized on the ensuing free throws, matching his season-high scoring total.

Post-game, Udoka expressed frustration with the officiating, highlighting what he perceived as inconsistency.

Specifically, he pointed out the discrepancy in calls when Brooks was called for an offensive foul after hitting Pat Connaughton’s head with an elbow, compared to an incident where Brook Lopez struck VanVleet in the face without a similar call.

“Very similar to the call they called on Dillon. Fred got elbowed too. One goes one way and one goes the other. I can see it from the opposite end, and three refs can’t see it right there,” Udoka voiced his dissatisfaction, as reported by Jackson Gatlin.
