Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams knows that nobody is feeling sorry for the group (franchise record 23-game losing streak).

“Nobody’s going to care about individual accolades if you don’t win games, and so that’s always going to be the focus. This is really hard, we understand that. You have one choice, sometimes in life it’s good to have one choice, and that’s what I told the guys, we’ve got to fight and compete. They’re always going to stay together because they’re a good group. We’ve had a lot of obstacles this year, a number of guys out in tough times. We’ve lost some really tough games, we’ve played some really good teams over the past week. It’s hard, but nobody’s feeling sorry for us, everybody knows that in the NBA. So our focus has to be on, one, improving, and two, competing at a high level right from the jump. That’s got to be our motivation.”
