Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams discussed the team’s high turnover rate/lack of physicality after Friday’s 124-92 road loss vs. the Philadelphia 76ers (committed 21 turnovers/now on a franchise record 22-game losing streak).
(via Bally Sports Detroit):
Reporter: “I know at times our questions can probably sound repetitive.”
Williams: “Nah, it is what it is. It’s a lot of repetitive games.”
Reporter: “At a point, what is the concern level? I know they’re young, but the turnovers are just really costing them every single night.”
Williams: “The concern level has been pretty high all year long. JI [Jaden Ivey] has five off the bench, and then you look at the starters, that’s a lot of turnovers for one group. Teams are being physical with us, but it’s not going to change because we don’t like it. It’s just something that we have… I have not figured out.”
