In a recent interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson on Scoop B Radio, former NBA player Nick Young shared his vision for the Los Angeles Lakers, expressing a desire to see Zach LaVine in the Purple and Gold.

While praising Austin Reaves as his favorite player and acknowledging LeBron James’ remarkable performances at 38, Young believes the Lakers are just “one trade away” from becoming serious contenders and envisions LaVine as a key addition.

Young painted an exciting picture of the potential collaboration, saying, “Can you imagine the way he jumps and LeBron throwing lobs to him? It would be CRAZY!”

According to Young, LaVine’s scoring prowess and ability to fill the offensive gap when James and Anthony Davis need rest make him an ideal fit for the Lakers.

“And then Zach wouldn’t be the focal point; he could get backdoor cuts and get some easy buckets. It would be a match made plus he can score and I think the Lakers need that go-to-guy when LeBron and AD get tired, they need somebody that can fill it up, you know?” he said.

The 28-year-old LaVine, currently with the struggling Chicago Bulls, averages 21 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 35.3 minutes per game this season.

Although rumors suggest the Lakers have interest in LaVine, reports indicate they may prioritize his teammates DeMar DeRozan and ex-Laker Alex Caruso in potential trade scenarios.
