Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves shared a humorous tale of anonymity, revealing how Brooklyn Nets security failed to recognize him when he attempted to take a seat on the Lakers bench during a game.
Reaves encountered a moment of disbelief from the Nets security personnel. Recounting the incident on the “Run It Back” show, Reaves described the awkward encounter.
“We were in Brooklyn… Right before I got to the bench, I was about to sit down, security grabbed me and was like, ‘Whoa, what are you doing?'” he said.
Amidst the confusion, Reaves’ teammate Anthony Davis, who witnessed the incident firsthand, couldn’t contain his amusement and erupted into laughter.
Davis swiftly intervened, clarifying to the perplexed security that Reaves was, indeed, a bona fide Lakers player.
