LeBron James has thrown his support behind Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, aligning himself with Kidd’s criticism of ESPN reporter Tim MacMahon.

Following the Mavericks’ victory over the Rockets in the NBA In-Season Tournament, Kidd engaged in a heated exchange with MacMahon during a post-game press conference, expressing frustration with perceived negative reporting about star duo Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Kidd’s impassioned response emphasized the need for patience and highlighted the success of the Doncic-Irving duo in clutch situations, defending the players’ capabilities.

In a direct appeal to MacMahon, Kidd urged the reporter to “write some positive sh*t,” emphasizing the players’ nightly contributions and their status as among the best globally.

James, taking to X, expressed his support for Kidd, stating, “For J to curse, you know he wasn’t happy at all! I don’t think I ever heard him curse. I mean from competing vs him, teamming up with him and playing for him. Never! He was HOT and quite frankly RIGHT!! Love J Kidd!”
