Amid a six-game losing streak, the Clippers faced a lineup adjustment as Russell Westbrook voluntarily moved to the bench, contributing to a victory against the Rockets in the NBA In-Season Tournament.

Following the game, Paul George was questioned about the chemistry with Westbrook in this new role, to which he responded, “It’s tough. It’s tough. With his energy and obviously there’s a ton of chemistry there. We’ve always played well off one another.”

George acknowledged Westbrook’s sacrifice and leadership, stating, “Takes a lot for his sacrifice, what he did for us going forward to try new things out. Just can’t say enough just on the character of Russ and just his leadership.”

In the first game with Westbrook coming off the bench, he played 17 minutes, tallying 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.
