Reggie Jackson, part of the Nuggets’ NBA championship victory last season, shared insights into teaming up with two-time MVP Nikola Jokic in Denver.

Joining the team in the second half of the previous season, Jackson expressed admiration for Jokic’s game control and mental prowess.

“Watching how special he is, watching his mind just work over and over again. It’s special,” the point guard said, per Ryan Blackburn.

According to Jackson, Jokic’s impact goes beyond the physical, as he takes command mentally and keeps the team levelheaded.

Jackson noted, “The way he keeps everybody’s spirit calm, he really keeps our team—we have a great, confident group already, but his ability, his maturation, his understanding, it really keeps us levelheaded.”

Refusing to take the experience for granted, Jackson emphasized the joy of playing alongside Jokic, acknowledging the fleeting nature of special moments.

“When you have something special, you have to enjoy it, because you never know how long you’re going to have it, and when it’s gone you will truly miss it,” he said.

As Jokic continues to showcase remarkable performances this season, averaging 30 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 8.4 assists in 34.7 minutes per game, Jackson expresses his delight in both playing alongside and observing the Serbian superstar’s skills on the court.
