Nuggets edge Clippers, James Harden winless streak continues

Nikola Jokic’s stellar performance, with 32 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists, propelled the Denver Nuggets to a 111-108 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in an NBA In-Season Tournament game, extending the Clippers’ winless streak since acquiring James Harden last month.

Jokic’s perfect 14-for-14 from the free-throw line, including crucial makes in the final seconds, secured the Nuggets’ triumph and added to the Clippers’ woes, losing five straight with Harden and six overall.

Despite Harden’s 21-point contribution and Paul George’s season-high 35 points, the Clippers fell to 0-2 in West Group B play.

Aaron Gordon’s 20 points and Reggie Jackson’s 18 played vital roles in Denver’s victory, marking their second win in the West B bracket.

The Nuggets played without point guard Jamal Murray, out for the fourth consecutive game with a strained right hamstring.

In a nail-biting finish, Jokic’s key feed to Gordon for a dunk and crucial free throws sealed the game for Denver, holding off the Clippers’ late comeback attempt.

Despite Kawhi Leonard’s fadeaway giving the Clippers a 99-92 lead in the fourth, Jokic and the Nuggets stood strong, securing the win and continuing the Clippers’ struggles with Harden.
