The Los Angeles Clippers made waves in the NBA world by acquiring former MVP James Harden from the 76ers.

In Los Angeles, Harden joined a star-studded trio of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook.

NBA insider Sham Charania revealed that all three of these Clippers superstars were eager to have Harden as a teammate.

Charania also drew comparisons to Harden’s journey from the Rockets to the Nets, and now to the Clippers, showcasing the ongoing trend of player empowerment.

“Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, they all want to play together,” Charania said on Run It Back. “Now, does it last and how fluid that’s going to be that remains to be seen.

“This move by the Clippers, there’s been a lot of player empowerment… That fact that Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook all wanted James Harden on this team, they want it to work.

“It’s a similar situation a few years ago in Brooklyn. Kevin Durant, those guys in Brooklyn they wanted James Harden on the team. He gets there and that situation happens the way it happens. There is a lot of motivation here.”
