Nicolas Batum, the seasoned forward recently acquired by the 76ers in the James Harden trade, was noticeably absent from the team for a period.
During his absence, rumors surfaced that the 34-year-old Frenchman might be contemplating retirement.
However, Batum swiftly dismissed these speculations, setting the record straight regarding his absence.
As reported by Ky Carlin, Batum attributed his time away from the team to a “very bad situation family wise to handle” and made it clear that retirement was not on his horizon.
This season Batum is averaging 2.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 18 minutes per game.
He is set to make his Sixers debut today against the Wizards.
