Executing an enhanced defensive effort combined with the clutch performance of Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne secured a hard-fought victory at Zalgirio Arena, triumphing 91-88 in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season on Thursday.

Making a stylish return, Luwawu-Cabarrot contributed 19 points on 5/9 field goals, including the decisive shot with 19.6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

His all-around performance, featuring six rebounds, three steals, and one assist, resulted in a game-high Player Impact Rating (PIR) of 26.

The 28-year-old forward sealed the deal with two successful free throws, marking the end of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne’s 18-game losing streak in Europe’s premier club continental competition.

Luwawu-Cabarrot expressed his satisfaction, stating, “We have been waiting for that win for a long time. Finally, it is here. We played together from the beginning to the end.”
