Naz Reid on free agency: “There was definitely no reason for me to leave”

Naz Reid chose to stay in Minnesota, signing a three-year extension after a stellar performance in the Timberwolves’ home opener against the Miami Heat.

The crowd’s support and his vital role with the team influenced his decision to test free agency.

“I wasn’t going anywhere,” Reid said. “I love it here, man. It’s special. It’s definitely a place I want to be and develop. … Each and every year, I’ve gotten better, so there was definitely no reason for me to leave.”
