Andrew Wiggins has aspirations to represent Canada in next year’s Olympics as they make their return to the Summer Games for the first time since Sydney 2000.

“Yeah, I would love to,” he said to Sportskeeda.com.

What are the odds of them translating their third-place finish at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 in Manila into a gold medal in Paris?

“I think our chances are good,” Wiggins said. “We have a great team.”

Canada showcased excellence in Jakarta, securing victories in four out of five games, with their only setback being a second-round loss to Brazil.

Building on their strong 4-1 start, they clinched a Quarter-Final win against Slovenia. Despite a Semi-Final loss to Serbia, they rebounded with a victory in the Third-Place Game against the USA.

This podium finish marked a historic achievement for Canada, being their first at either the World Cup or the Olympics.
