Despite trailing for the majority of the night against Milan, ALBA Berlin staged a remarkable comeback and secured an 85-82 victory.

The game came down to the wire, with Nikola Mirotic missing a crucial shot that would have forced overtime.

The turnaround was orchestrated by Johannes Thiemann, who not only scored 22 points but also grabbed six rebounds, achieving a new personal best in EuroLeague scoring.

Sterling Brown, a former NBA player, contributed significantly with 18 points for the winning side.

ALBA Berlin was facing a 10-point deficit (71-61) in the 32nd minute of the game but managed to take the lead for the first time since the 7th minute, sealing the victory in the closing seconds.

Even while sporting a protective mask, Brown proved unstoppable, inflicting significant damage on the opposition.

We had a lot of guys come out and just do what they do. We have a lot of young guys and they brought the energy. We just stayed with it. Stayed with the offensive concepts and defensive schemes and we came out with the win,” he said having also 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory.

“I just have to go out there and perform. It’s no stress. This is basketball. I just gotta stay in a rhythm and get more comfortable,” he also commented about the way he needs to adapt even more to the European game.
