Victor Wembanyama is gearing up for his debut in the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season with the San Antonio Spurs.

The French prodigy and first pick of the 2023 NBA draft is set to face the Dallas Mavericks in Frost Bank Center tonight at 3:30 AM CET.

Despite being an NBA rookie, Wembanyama, who has experience at the senior level, expects to play every game as long as he stays healthy.

Having been a key player for Metropolitans 92 in the 2022-23 season, he’s no stranger to facing physical opponents.

“Everyone has their strength, and being physical is something I’ve seen my whole life, basically every time I stepped on a court for the last few years,” Wembanyama mentioned ahead of more demanding challenges in the NBA.

“It’s not something I’m afraid of. Quickness beats physicality when used correctly. So, it is really part of the game. I am used to it.”
