Boston Celtics legend, Paul Pierce, further added to the mounting excitement surrounding San Antonio Spurs’ promising newcomer, Victor Wembanyama, by declaring the rookie as one of the top five skill players in the NBA.
During an episode of Ticket & The Truth, Pierce expressed his admiration for Wembanyama’s remarkable skills.
“Right now today, Wemby is one of the top 5 skill players in the NBA,” he said. “He has shown me the handle, he’s shown me the step back, he has shown me the lob, the pick and roll threat, the pick and roll and the pick and pop threat, he has shown me he can get the ball in traffic and dunk on everybody.”
Pierce’s glowing endorsement solidifies the growing anticipation for Wembanyama’s performance and impact in the upcoming NBA season.
