Gilbert Arenas reiterates critique of Hakeem Olajuwon teaching Giannis Antetokounmpo

Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas has stood by his previous comments regarding the teaching methods of the legendary Hakeem Olajuwon to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Reportedly, the cost of Olajuwon’s lessons is $50,000 per week.

Arenas mocked the lesson on X after a recent preseason game between the Bucks and the Lakers, where Antetokounmpo attempted to execute Olajuwon’s move, resulting in an apparent travel that went uncalled.

During a recent episode of Gil’s Arena, Arenas defended his comments, clarifying that his intent was not to bash Olajuwon but to express his opinion on the situation.

“I’ll be damned if I pay $50,000 a week to go down there and travel,” stated Arenas during the episode. “Is that bashing him or is that my opinion? And then everyone gets mad. Then I got to go up the footage to show y’all the travel.

“Y’all made it longer than it’s supposed to be. It’s supposed to be, like, quick, quick, quick and then we move on. But y’all trying to prove a point to me knowing that you’re not going to prove a point to me if I’ve already studies every damn play that he’s done.”
