Josh Jackson, who last played for the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League, is accused of engaging in a sexual assault incident at a New York hotel last year.
Subsequently, he is alleged to have sent two women to intimidate the victim by breaking into her apartment.
Following a night out, Jackson supposedly sent a text inviting the woman to join him with the message “come through” and offered “$1,500 if you pull up.”
Even though she declined the money, she took an Uber arranged by Jackson to his hotel room at the New York Edition, thinking the party was still ongoing.
To her surprise, she found herself alone with Jackson, who, dressed in basketball shorts, boasted about having “$12 million in his bank account.”
Her response was, “I am not here for your money. I am not a gold digger.” After consuming alcohol, she fell asleep in his room.
According to her, Jackson forcibly removed her clothing and assaulted her, causing her to “pass out from the trauma, confusion, and horror of the incident.”
She left the room the following morning and bought emergency contraception.
