Lakers rookie Austin Reaves has heaped praise on his teammate D’Angelo Russell, highlighting the challenges the point guard poses for defenders.
Reaves emphasized the benefits of Russell having a full preseason and training camp with the Lakers, expressing his belief in Russell’s offensive skills.
“Just having that preseason—these games, training camp and all that was gonna benefit [D’Angelo Russell] in a lot of ways… I kindly remind him all the time that there’s probably not anybody that can guard him,” Reaves said, via ClutchPoints.
Russell rejoined the Lakers in a trade last season and re-signed with the team in July, providing the Purple and Gold with another potent offensive weapon for the upcoming season.
