Grant Williams on best part about Mavericks

Grant Williams, who recently made the move from the Boston Celtics to the Dallas Mavericks, is relishing his new team’s atmosphere.

The 24-year-old power forward, who made his preseason debut with the Mavericks against the Timberwolves in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, highlighted the unique qualities of the Mavericks’ organization.

Williams spoke about the Mavericks’ blend of character and discipline. “The best part about this organization is everyone’s authentically themselves,” her said, per Dwain Price of the mavs.com.

“It’s a very kind of calm and relaxing, chill organization while also being disciplined and understanding that the priority is winning, but also you can have a good time while doing it. Everyone here really supports one another, and that’s something that’s been really key in my eyes – it feels like a family.”

During his preseason debut, Williams contributed 6 points and 2 rebounds in 17 minutes of play. The Mavericks fell to the Timberwolves with a final score of 99-111.
