The reigning champion Dreamland Gran Canaria secured their first away victory in the opening round of the 2023-24 BKT EuroCup.
Led by coach Jaka Lakovic, the team overcame a slow start and delivered a commanding performance to defeat Aris Midea with a score of 82-66 at Thessaloniki’s Nick Galis Hall.
A. J. Slaughter contributed significantly with 21 points, including an impressive 4/5 from beyond the three-point line.
Andrew Albicy made a crucial three-pointer at the end of the third quarter and added five free throws in an eight-point performance.
As the team captain, Albicy also contributed five assists, five steals, and two rebounds.
Despite Roberto Gallinat’s impressive game-high 22 points for the hosts, it was not enough to secure a victory.
