Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups has been extremely proud of Anfernee Simons’ improved communication skills on the court.

Reporter: “It’s just one practice, but from a leadership perspective, I know you’re looking to Ant this year. Are you seeing signs of that early at all?”
Billups: “I am. Ant had one of those Ant days today, he was incredible. He was all over the place making shots from everywhere. But I’ve always been on him for a couple years now, just using his voice more. You can tell that his confidence is just different now. He uses it; I don’t have to like solicit that from him anymore. When he sees something, he says it. I’m proud of him, that’s growth for him.”
