The Miami Heat have made an addition to their roster, signing 22-year-old guard R. J. Hampton to a two-way deal, as reported by Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.
Last season Hampton later found himself suspended for one game without pay in December 2022 for an altercation during a game against the Detroit Pistons. On February 21, 2023, he signed with the Pistons, only to be waived later in June.
During the previous NBA season, Hampton averaged 7.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 18.5 minutes per game while playing for the Pistons.
