Fenerbahce inks three-year deal with Arturs Zagars

Fenerbahce has officially signed talented Latvian playmaker Arturs Zagars to a three-year contract. However, the first season of Zagars’ contract will see him on loan at Wolves Vilnius.

Zagars is coming off an exceptional performance with the Latvian national team, where he played a pivotal role in securing a commendable fifth-place finish at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The 23-year-old guard averaged 12.4 points with an impressive 41.7% three-point shooting accuracy and 7.4 assists across eight games. His performance earned him a spot on the All-World Cup Second Team.

Zagars’ journey to Fenerbahce includes a diverse professional career, with notable stints in Spain’s Joventut Badalona and domestic basketball experiences in Germany and Lithuania.
