Flint, Michigan native Monte Morris couldn’t have been happier when he got traded to the Detroit Pistons (acquired from the Washington Wizards for a future second rounder back in late June).

(via Detroit Pistons):

“My agents called me and was like, ‘You going home.’ I was like, ‘What you mean I’m going home? I’m already home.’ And they was like, ‘Nah, you going to play in Detroit. They just traded for you.’ My heart dropped. It was just like, ‘Man.’ A surreal moment, because for me to play for the Pistons; it’s big time.”
