What was expected to be a highly anticipated game with a playoff-like atmosphere turned out to be a completely one-sided affair.

Germany put an end to Slovenia’s unbeaten streak in the Second Round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, winning convincingly with a score of 100-71 at the Okinawa Arena on Sunday night.

Initially, Germany found themselves trailing 25-11 in the first 10 minutes, mainly due to Luka Doncic’s impressive performance, where he scored 12 points.

However, they quickly turned things around in the second quarter and took control of the game.

Germany was down by 12 points early in the second quarter, but then Andreas Obst made a crucial three-point shot, igniting an 18-2 run that allowed them to take a 38-34 lead as they entered halftime.

Dennis Schroder and Daniel Theis took charge in the third quarter, continuing to dominate the game.

In a matchup against the formidable Luka Doncic, it was Dennis Schroder who truly shone and was named the TCL Player of the Game.

Schroder scored 24 points, dished out 10 assists, and shot an impressive 8-11 from the field.
