Rudy Fernandez sets record as first European in five World Cups

Rudy Fernandez, playing for Spain in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, aims to end his international career at the 2024 Olympics. He also became the first European in five World Cup editions.

Fernandez established a new record in Jakarta on Saturday. During the dominant victory of the Sergio Scariolo-coached team over Ivory Coast, he played for 14:27, recording five points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
