Former NBA star Kenyon Martin recently commented on the situation surrounding Kyrie Irving’s fit with the Mavericks.
Last season, Irving arrived in Dallas via a trade from the Nets, forming a superstar duo alongside Luka Doncic. However, their partnership didn’t yield immediate success, as the Mavs failed to qualify for the play-in tournament.
Despite the initial challenges, the Mavericks decided to invest in the 31-year-old point guard, offering him a new three-year, $120 million contract.
When asked about Irving’s fit in Dallas during an interview with Brandon “Scoop” Robinson on Bally Sports, Kenyon Martin offered a concise response, saying, “It is what it is, man. It hasn’t worked yet, so we’ll see.”
