On the latest episode of Gil’s Arena, Rashad McCants discussed the lack of communication he received from head coach Dwane Casey as a rookie for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2005-06.

(via Gil’s Arena):

Josiah Johnson: “Was he communicating with you?”

McCants: “Oh, hell no. He was at the point where he didn’t even wanna talk to the rooks, and I was the only rook. So it was literally like I felt they was shading me because I was outgoing, I was talk. You know me, Imma talk that s***. He had made a rule, rookies can’t talk in practice.”

Kenyon Martin: “HA HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA!”

McCants: “Rookies can’t talk in practice.”

Josiah Johnson: “Like even if we’re doing a drill?”

McCants: “Nope! Don’t talk. Nothing.”
