During a recent episode of NBA Today, renowned NBA analyst Brian Windhorst shared a fascinating insight into LeBron James’ career. According to Windhorst, Ron Artest, now known as Metta Sandiford-Artest, holds the distinction of being one of the very few players who physically intimidated LeBron James on the court.

“Ron Artest is probably the only player, or one of the very few that I saw physically intimidate LeBron James during his career,” Windhorst said.

Renowned for his tenacious defense, Artest earned the title of NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2004. Additionally, he secured multiple All-Defensive Team honors, establishing himself as a defensive powerhouse in the league.

While LeBron James has faced numerous talented opponents throughout his career, Windhorst believes that Artest’s unyielding physicality and defensive prowess set him apart as one of the few players capable of challenging the “King.”
