Trae Young got that bold mission of winning the city of Atlanta its first NBA championship, and he’s certainly all in to work things out with Quin Snyder.

As he appeared on The Draymond Green Show, Young delivered words of hope that Snyder will be able to serve as a Steve Kerr counterpart for him as he eyes nothing but success for the Atlanta Hawks.

“Hopefully Quin for me is my Steve Kerr. Like I hope Quin is the guy that we win three, four championships with. I mean, that’s the plan,” Young told the Golden State Warriors star.

This admiration by Young for Snyder can already be traced back from last April when the star point man echoed his utmost belief that he and the mentor will bring the Hawks to the top one day – a promising mark for the franchise following a rusty relationship he developed with ex-coach Nate McMillan.

Snyder, who splendidly handled the Utah Jazz for eight years, took over for Atlanta in the midseason of the 2022-23 campaign and helped the club to clinch a postseason mark after a rough start from McMillan.

Now, as he finally got his desired coaching staff and is set to obtain a full offseason preparation to get familiarized with the Hawks system, the talented tactician has his eyes set to have a promising campaign in the upcoming season with Young as his best player.

These faithful words by Young for Snyder can only promote positivity throughout the Hawks fandom, and this is the exact type of confidence that they truly need to start replicating the triumph of the Dubs dynasty.
